- Parents : His father who is of Iranian descent is an Electronics Computer engineer currently working at LSI ltd, and his mother Lisa was a nurse for over three decades.
- The family has always been close even more so after losing Lisa to Pancreatic cancer in December 2015. Both Ari & Sam continuously work with cancer charities in honor of their mother.
- Shortly after moving to Alabama, he met meteorologist Jennifer Watson. After dating for a few years, they got married.

- Ari stared his career in 2007 as a Morning Meteorologist working with then Chief Meteorologist John Malan. He then moved to West Virginia working for WOWK/WVNS as Morning Meteorologist in 2010.
- He was the Meteorologist for WAAY-TV in Alabama (in the year 2012). At WAAY-TV, he met Jennifer Watson (Ast), his former spouse who is also a meteorologist.
- Together, Jennifer and Ari moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2014. They both continue to work at The Weather Channel.

- Ari Sarsalari learned to play the drums as a child, currently drumming for Sucker Punch a 90’s revival band. With his love of Rock n Roll, he also started a side project band covering the Foo Fighters. He shares a few videos of him playing the drums on his YouTube channel.
- He loves being outdoors, whether it be camping, hunting, or fishing; Sarsalari has also recently developed a serious hobby for woodworking.
- Ari also enjoys cooking & loves spicy food and red meat, and it all goes best with his favorite beer Sierrra Nevada Pale Ale.
- He grew up playing plenty of sports, mainly wrestling and ice hockey. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he made it to the college wrestling team as well as the ice hockey team. He still plays hockey today and has won two championships in the C league with his Atlanta Team.
