Both are pure Dark-type Pokémon defined by the cheeky grin that covers their face. While Maschiff doesn't really play much of a role in the main storyline of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Mabosstiff is one of the most important Pokémon in the Titan Pokémon plot.
